Happy Birthday Bloghop!
Hi All!
April 6th is Carrie Ann Ryan’s birthday. And to celebrate, she has organized this wonderful blog hop! Around 60 authors and bloggers are hosting a hop for two days!! Whoot!
Each author is giving away a prize at their blog. AND we’re giving away TWO grand prizes.
1) A Kindle Touch
2) A $60 Amazon or Barnes & Noble Gift Card
I share my birthday with my husband. Neither one of us are big gift givers or receivers. We are happy to just spend time together, alone.
We usually go out for dinner and a movie. This past year we both took the day off from work and went to breakfast and then went out for dinner. It was nice to take a day off and share it together.
Share what you do on your birthday.
My GIVEAWAY!!!
Each commenter for both days, 4/05 and 4/06, will be entered to win swag (signed business card, magnet and key chain with the cover my upcoming release Forgotten Visions) and a hand made bookmark. Yes, I made the bookmark. See picture below.
Kalissa Bradenton isn’t your average coffee shop owner. Born to an elite witch bloodline with a rare genetic mutation, she’s a Divinity on a mission. The death of her parents sends her away from her Maxville, Florida home and into an ancient war between witches and demons. When childhood friend, Ayden Daniels, comes to her aid after an almost fatal accident, visions of a past she doesn’t remember sparks an old flame and new desires. With the past slowly becoming clearer, she eagerly sets her sights on mending Ayden’s heart and gaining his trust – until a ghost from her past returns to claim her as his demonic mate.
Ayden, the new Sheriff of Maxville and grandson of the oldest living Divinity, is investigating a series of Divinity killings. When he comes face to face with the one woman he hopes to have little to no contact with, old pain rises, quickly followed by anger and resentment. Through his rare power of adaptability he learns actions from the past may not be what they seem. Hope fills his broken heart and determination pushes him to do whatever it takes to win Kalissa’s heart once more before his loses her forever.
Together they must find the strength to mend their tormented souls, while fighting an evil out to destroy the world.

It seems sad but i generally do nothing. Like last month. I would like to go to the restaurant with my mother and brother or on a walk all together but always something happens, this year my brother had a diabetic crisis so after we helped him we were exhausted and i just went to bed… without eating at all by the way
I hope your giveaway is international because i love bookmarks and yours is so cute
all the best and thanks you for your participation in this event
I don’t do much any more for my bdays… I’ve always disliked them, something always seems to go funky on them. LOL.. Beautiful job on the bookmarks!

My maternal grandparents actually had their first date over the fact they had the same b-day and he was new in town. She thought to be nice and, gasp, invited the nice man to dinner so he wouldn’t be alone. A few months later they were wed.
Moral: be careful who you ask out for birthday dinner
* They stayed happily married til she passed away many, many years later. ♥
I know it’s not my b-day but that’s always been my fav b-day story.
Great giveaway!
I don’t do much for my birthday. My daughters birthday is Oct 12th and mine is the 21st, so we really don’t want another cake. My kids like to make me dinner for my birthday, I’m so glad that they are older now and can cook.

At 36, my mom still cooks me my favorite dinner and cake. My whole family goes to her house and I love it!

At our house the Birthday Celebrant chooses the restaurant to go to for dinner. We do dessert at home. Usually, some kind of cake.
Happy Birthday Carrie!

we usually just go out to eat for my birthday. usually it’s us the kids and then his grandparents and dad. i love to rotate what restaurants we go too as well. we don’t do anything too special. i just like to be around family and friends.
My kids usually make me breakfast in bed and the whole family either goes out for dinner or they make something special at home.
For the past couple of years I have done nothing for my birthday because there is usually a conference or work going on so I celebrate it later. When I was in college I got spoiled because my birthday usually fell in our fall break so I would get a long weekend for my birthday – which usually would include a road trip of some kind. Ah, to be young again!

On my birthdays, I have been going to the spas in my area with my sister. This year we are going to the famous one in Tucson, Az- Canyon Ranch. Should be an interesting experience.
Last year I worked on my birthday as it was a weekday. This year, it’s a Saturday and I’ll be spending it in London as my other half and some of his family are going to a couple of the Olympic events – I might go exploring London by myself!
I try to ignore my birthdays, but my husband insists on taking me out to dinner and buying me some kind of dessert to celebrate with. He knows that growing up, my family ignored my birthdays, so he tries to make it special. He’s a keeper, my Tony is

My husband and I celebrate our b-days by going out to eat and having a cake for both of us. Our birthdays are only a few days apart
Thanks for doing this!
I get a day off on my birthday! I get to not do housework or dishes or cleaning of any kind
It’s a good day! Fun blog hop! Thanks!

My birthday is right before Christmas so generally it is never really “celebrated”. Maybe a special dinner or cupcakes, etc with the family. Besides, after a certain point, I would just as soon ignore it, lol.

My birthday, anniversary and mother’s day are all within a 10 day period! My poor husband, lol. We usually go out to eat and he tends to get me one big present for all three, which is fine by me, lol!

This last birthday (on the 1st) my Hubby actually remembered to pick me up some pretty flowers! lol
For my birthday – ALWAYS – there is a cake & candles & presents & my favorite dinner. Birthdays were a big deal growing up in my family & I have kept the traditions going.

I love Carrie Ann and I’m glad to wish her a HAPPY, HAPPY Birthday. And how sweet that she and her friends are giving away things on her special day.
My hubby takes me out on my birthday, to a favorite restaurant of choice. More special is my hubby’s b’day, which is also our anniversary. I give him a birthday gift and he gives me any anniversary present. It’s a Win-Win day!

My husband usually takes the kids and I to dinner for my birthday. We don’t do too much because mine is so closed to Christmas. For his, I try to take him out of town for a few days, but since we had our youngest, he is reluctant to go anywhere without the children.
Thank you for the giveaway and participating in the hop!

I usually celebrate twice — I have a family dinner and I have friends who own a club, so they usually do a big birthday party for me there on the Saturday night closest to my birthday! (TWICE as much cake!)
elizabeth @ bookattict . com
I usually celebrate it with family.
For my birthday we usually go out as a family to dinner. I love Mexican but because my birthday is on Cinco de Mayo it is usually too busy for us to go there for dinner.
