Character Interview with Olivia Starke

Please tell us about you: job, hobbies, special talents, and anything else you would want to share.
Bailey: As far as jobs go, it’s administrative. Not really glamorous, but pays most of the bills. Hobbies include travel, drinks with little umbrellas and shopping. Special talents? Well you’ll have to ask my past girlfriends. (laughs)
Melanie: I’m, well, self-employed I guess you can say. I love swimming and being outdoors on warm summer nights—is that a hobby? Geez, talent wise? I don’t know.
Bailey: (laughs) I can answer that!
Melanie: No! Don’t you dare! (laughs)
Bailey: But, baby, you’re so damn cute when you blush like that.
Tell us about the first time you met.
Bailey: I was a damsel in distress, and Melanie was my knight in tiny little daisy duke shorts.
Melanie: (slaps Bailey’s knee) Her car broke down and she came to my house. It was summertime, and a hundred degrees out, so I had dressed accordingly. I have to say, Bailey made my heart go fluttery when I first saw her on my front porch.
Bailey: (leans back in chair) Yeah, I have that effect on women (laughs) Seriously though, Melanie knocked me for a loop as well. She has this…natural look and way about her that you don’t see much these days. She’s very open and sincere. And imaginative (winks at Melanie)
What drew you to her?
Melanie: Her confidence, I think. And, I admit, her body (laughs)
Bailey: (laughs) Ditto. But I’m a real sucker for redheads.
Melanie: So all redheads?
Bailey: Well I can safely say, I’m ruined for all others, baby. (squeezes Melanie’s hand)
What is your favorite part of her?
Bailey: Uh, well…(looks at Melanie’s chest)
Melanie: My great big…hazel eyes right, Bailey (laughs)
Bailey: Yeah, eyes, uh huh. So answer the question, Melanie. (winks)
Melanie: Her lips when she kisses me (leans over and gives Bailey a quick kiss)
Care to share future plans?
Melanie: I think ours is one we’ll have to play by ear.
Bailey: That seems to be the case. But you never know what the future holds, right?

Excerpt: I love a woman with stamina.
Bailey cleared her throat. “So, Melanie, you have a husband somewhere?”
She flashed that gorgeous smile. “Nope.”
“Boyfriend?”
She shook her head. “Nope.”
“Girlfriend?”
Melanie stood in waist deep water. Rivulets poured down her shoulders.
“I-I’ve never been with a woman, actually.” She swept her hands in wide arcs over the surface and small waves lapped at Bailey’s chin where she tread water further from shore. Bailey kicked toward her, then stood and the other woman sucked in a breath, eyes widening. She took a step forward watching closely for any sign that her redhead might shy away.
“Melanie, let me make love to you.”
She peered up through her lashes. “I wouldn’t know how. I mean I know how with a man, but….”
Bailey smiled, reaching a hand to the other woman’s upper arm, letting her fingertips trail to her shoulder then down to the delicate gold chain she wore around her neck. A tiny infinity pendant dangled from it.
Their breaths quickened.

Olivia Starke calls a little town in southern Missouri home. Some of the most beautiful country in the U.S., she loves the Ozarks and hikes, runs, kayaks, or rides horses whenever possible. I was actually wondering if you had any other f/f romances? I don’t believe I’ve read any of your books before, but I’m planning to check them out now.
This is my first and only so far, but I have several f/f WIPs I’ll be finishing up sometime in the near future. They are so fun to write
